In case you haven’t already discovered it, within a mile of our neighborhood, lies a hidden gem called the Rio Salado Habitat area.  What was once a dump, is now a lush riparian corridor with five miles of paved and dirt trails dotted with unique design and user features including ponds, a  waterfall and pleasant “rest areas”.

The best place to enter the Habitat area is on Central Ave, just south of the I-17.  Park your car and wander around or ride your bike there and cruise along on the bike paths.
